A Centenary Celebration
We engaged renowned musicologist, Dr Rita Crews OAM, to write the history of our organisation.
The resulting book, A Centenary Celebration, displays a comprehensive and fascinating look at our journey from federation, in 1918, up to today.
Featuring the personalities, syllabuses, certificates, and education directives from the last 100 years, plus lots of images and pictures discovered in the archives, this book is for all music education fans in Australia.

Launch of AMEB Online Orchestra
We launched our virtual orchestra, the AMEB Online Orchestra, as part of our centenary celebrations. This project was hugely successful, and we continue to run it biannually.
